What is PhenylPiracetam?
Have you heard of nootropics? Nootropics are brain supplements, which help you to enhance brain function. While various nootropics are available on the market today, Phenylpiracetam is definitely one of the top 3 most preferred nootropics. You may also know Phenylpiracetam as Phenotropil or Carphedon.
While there is still insufficient scientific research to truly push for this product to be recommended in the smart drugs market, there has been some evidence which points to the efficacy of Phenylpiracetam as a promising cognitive enhancer.
Phenylpiracetam’s Background & Properties
This drug is relatively new in the racetam drug class. The original racetam which is known as Piracetam was synthesized all the way back in 1964. After the original synthesis, several new racetams have been developed. This includes Aniracetam, Oxiracetam, Pramiracetam, and finally in early 1980’s, Phenylpiracetam was produced. This modified product has been estimated to be between 30 to 60 times more potent with neuroprotective properties than the first racetam produced, and has been used to enhance physical performance.
These properties led to Phenylpiracetam’s banning in Olympic events by the World Anti-Doping Agency. However, do note that Phenylpiracetam is not in and of itself banned or inherently dangerous. In fact, this drug has been given to astronauts and soldiers in certain countries due to its ability to enhance your mind and physical performance.
Essentially, Phenylpiracetam has the exact same chemical buildup as its first form – Piracetam. Only a phenyl group was added to Piracetam’s structure, but this small addition allowed the performance of this drug to increase dramatically.
The potential of Phenylpiracetam is best experienced when taken orally. It is 100% bioavailable, meaning that the components are easily absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract and can even cross the blood-brain barrier. This effect is one of the benefits of adding the phenyl group to Piracetam. Upon crossing this barrier, the benefits derived from this drug is said to modulate certain brain receptors, releasing excess dopamine and noradrenaline into the bloodstream. In particular, the benzene ring that can be found in the phenyl group can potentially increase the dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmitter transporters’ affinity.
Generally, you might find Phenylpiracetam more effective if you are taking 100 to 200mg of Phenylpiracetam each time, up to a maximum 2 times a day. However, keep in mind that the optimum dosage of this medication varies from person to person, and as such, you might benefit from this drug more at a dosage lower or equal to 100mg or as high as 300mg each time. If you are new to this drug, it is suggested that you ingest a single dose of 100mg of this drug to rule out possibilities of allergy to this nootropic. If you do not experience signs of allergy, you can consume the full optimal dosage.
Benefits of Phenylpiracetam
One of the first benefits of Phenylpiracetam that you will experience is the increase of energy. With the added phenyl group, the chemical makeup of this drug becomes similar to that of Phenethylamines such as Adderall, thus the energy-boosting properties. This increased energy in turn protects you from for cold and stress. To add on, Phenylpiracetam has been said to be able to minimize any motion sickness that you might be experiencing as well as helping to prevent some effects of amnesia.
From physical performance and brain protection to cognitive enhancement, Phenylpiracetam has it all, which makes it a good addition to any nootropic stack that you might be using to boost your cognitive abilities. One of the reasons why Phenylpiracetam is so popular in the nootropics market could be its stress tolerance properties, which provides a huge boost to its user’s performance along with other benefits while undertaking any tasks that requires a huge amount of focus.
Phenylpiracetam is known to possess properties similar to that of psychostimulants, which could be the key to make you feel more alert and awake upon ingesting it. Most of this drug’s users are students or workers who need a small boost to help them focus on the task at hand, but you can also choose to take phenylpiracetam for cognitive enhancement. In terms of cognitive enhancement, you might experience an increased attention and memory span, attention-switching skills and even find it a lot easier to solve problems, especially if you are suffering from asthenia, which refers to an abnormal physical weakness that can occur in many conditions.
Aside from providing some cognitive benefits, the elderly has experienced an increased physical functioning and activities after taking this drug. There is also a small increase in the rate of stroke recovery for users who took this medication daily, as compared to users who took placebo treatments. Similarly, in individuals who were experiencing some degree of cognitive decline, it was found that Users who experience stroke-associated anxiety found that their symptoms were slightly relieved, as did their depressive symptoms.
Phenylpiracetam Side Effects
The full mechanism of Phenylpiracetam’s functioning is not known yet. However, some negative side effects of this drug have been found. As an example, the continuous usage of Phenylpiracetam has been reported to cause rapid tolerance, which means that the longer you have been taking this drug, the more diminished the effects will be and you will find yourself in need of a bigger dose to achieve the same level of effects as before. Therefore, we recommend cycling the supplementation of this product. For example, take it for 5 days and off on the weekends or when you take time off from work.
Another possible side effect of taking Phenylpiracetam is the possibilities of experiencing insomnia. If you take this nootropic in the late afternoon or evening, you might find yourself unable to sleep as well as you would be if you had taken it in the morning. You might also experience some headaches if you have low levels of acetylcholine in your body, or feel some symptoms associated with overstimulation such as nausea, irritability or jitteriness. These latter side effects are usually signs that you need to decrease the dosage ingested rather than quitting it straightaway. Also, to boost acetylcholine levels, we recommend taking Centrophenoxine with Phenylpiracetam. This will further optimize Phenylpiracetam’s effect.
When compared with other favorable nootropics such as Adrafinil/Modafinil and Noopept, Phenylpiracetam definitely does not lose in any aspects. Seeing as the negative side effects can be easily countered and that there are various benefits to taking this drug, there is no doubt Phenylpiracetam is definitely one of the smartest smart drugs out there for you, if not the best.
